I’ve existed forever
Yet born in recent times
I am nameless throughout history
Though you know who I am
I rose from bloodshed
Yet exist for peace
When used we are strong
When ignored we are weak
Alone I am nothing
With you we endure
I exist to save life
I exist to save you
I am OPSEC

Hi Revelator,
I came across your blog b/c I was searching for info on OPSEC pertaining to a FB page that was started by the GF of an Army Reserve soldier who is currently overseas. My son is also in his platoon. I did not attend the FRG event prior to the deployment, so was not aware of the existence of OPSEC. My first introduction was when I wanted to pass out prayer cards with the soldiers names on them and was told it was against OPSEC rules. Okay, I could appreciate that. Anyway, recently there was an email distributed concerning my son’s platoon advising any infraction of OPSEC rules on the aforementioned FB page would result in discipline, so I started doing some research. This whole website is fascinating, but I have found your blog, in particular, to be very entertaining. I do appreciate what you do, even though I am only now discovering what it is. I’m a former Probation Officer, so do have a sense of keeping under wraps those things that can ultimately cause harm. And I will definitely be paying closer attention to the comments I post on FB. It IS important work you do and I’m sorry I didn’t know all the rules before now. You’re a great writer. Keep it up.
